Pizza Cookie

A snack that could be artistically made by kids

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup hazelnut spread*
1/3 cup NESTLE Cornflakes
1/3 cup NESTLE Smarties
1/4 cup candy sprinkles
1/3 cup NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream

Procedure:
1. Combine flour and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Beat softened butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
3. Add in egg and stir to combine.
4. Add flour mixture gradually.
5. Using a 12-inches round pizza pan, bake dough for 20 minutes at 250 degrees C for about 8-10 minutes.
6. Cool cookie thoroughly then spread hazelnut on top.
7. Sprinkle next 3 ingredients decoratively on top.
8. Drizzle NESTLE All Purpose Cream on top before cutting into wedges.

Mixed Nuts

Your choice of nuts made savory by MAGGI MAGIC SARAP

Ingredients:
1 cup peanuts
1 cup cashew nuts
1 cup cracked or popped nuts
2 tbsp oil
2 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP

Procedure:
1. Roast nuts in low fire for 15 minutes or until done.
2. Put roasted nuts in a container with cover and pour in oil and put MAGGI MAGIC SARAP.
3. Shake well. Serve in small jars or seal in plastics.

Mocha Chunk Cookies

Chewy coffee and chocolate flavored cookies with chocolate morsels

Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups all purpose flour
2 1/2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/8 tsp salt
2 tsp NESCAFE
1 tsp coffee liqueur
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup plus 2 tbsps. muscovado sugar
1/2 cup butter softened
2 pieces eggs
1 cup chopped NESTLE Dark Chocolate

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Mix well and set aside.
3. Dissolve coffee in coffee liqueur and set aside.
4. Blend sugars with electric mixer. Add butter and mix to form grainy paste.
5. Add eggs and dissolved coffee and beat.
6. Add flour mixture and chopped chocolate and beat at low speed. Do not overmix.
7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.
8. Bake for 20 minutes.

Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy cookies with oh so chocolaty morsels – a delight in every bite

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup NUTREN Optimum
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup granulated sugar
1 cup (packed) brown sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp condensed milk
2 cups chopped NESTLÉ Dark Chocolate

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, NUTREN, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk. Set aside.
3. Blend sugars using an electric mixer set at medium speed. Add butter and mix, occasionally scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add the eggs, vanilla, and condensed milk. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
4. Add the flour mixture and chocolate and blend at low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 22 to 25 minutes until cookies are slightly brown along edges. Transfer cookies immediately to cool surface with a spatula.

Lumpiang Prito

Fried spring rolls filled with tofu, potatoes, carrots and sweet potatoes

Ingredients:
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 cup tokwa mashed
2 cups julienned potatoes
2 cups julienned sweet potatoes (camote)
1 cup julienned carrots
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 cup chopped kinchay
10 pieces lumpia wrapper cut into two

Procedure:
1. Heat oil, stir-fry tokwa for 2 minutes, add potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots, cook for 5 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp tender.
2. Stir-in MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and kinchay, remove from heat.
3. Drain and cool in a colander. Wrap about 3 tablespoons vegetables in lumpia wrapper. Seal well then deep fry until golden brown.

Hash Browns

A Filipino version of hash browns using sweet potato

Ingredients:
4 cups grated kamote (sweet potato)
2 8g sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1 1/4 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 250ml brick NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
1/2 cup fried minced bacon
2 pieces eggs, beaten
2 cups Japanese bread crumbs
cooking oil for deep frying

Procedure:
1. Combine kamote, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, cheese, all purpose cream, bacon, and eggs in a bowl.
2. Using the palm of your hand shape about 1/3 cup of kamote mixture into a rectangle about 3-4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
3. Dredge in bread crumbs.
4. Deep fry in hot oil until brown. Drain and serve.

Lettuce Cups

Minced meat and veggies in lettuce cups with hoisin sauce

Ingredients:
4 tbsp cooking oil
1/4 kg ground beef
2 squares tokwa, diced
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup grated Baguio beans
1 8g sachet MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
4 tbsp hoisin sauce combined with
2 tbsp water
200 g lettuce leaves
1/2 cup NESTLÉ Cottage Cheese, drained

Procedure:
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté beef with half of the MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, heat remaining oil and sauté tokwa and veggies until veggies are crisp-tender.
3. Stir in remaining MAGGI MAGIC SARAP.
4. Put in about 1/4 cup veggie mixture, 2 tbsp of sauteéd meat and a teaspoon of NESTLÉ Cottage Cheese onto a lettuce leaf. Top with hoisin sauce and serve.

Golden Maja Kalabasa

An easy and nutritious snack enriched with squash

Ingredients:
2/3 cup squash (kalabasa) boiled and mashed
1 1/2 cups NESTLE All Purpose Cream
2/3 cup water
3/4 cup condensed milk
2 tsp calamansi juice
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Procedure:
1. Combine all ingredients except butter or margarine. Mix well and bring to a boil while stirring until thickens.
2. Add butter or margarine. Pour into a mold and allow to set. Cut and serve.

Good to Remember:
Cream comes from milk fat. The richer the cream, the easier it is to whip.

Hearty Meatloaf


Ingredients:
1 tbsp cooking oil
2 large onion, sliced into rings
2 35g. NESVITA Oatmeal Original
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
2 tbsp MAGGI Oyster Sauce
½ cup catsup
2 tbsp. bread crumbs
½ kg. ground pork
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for pan searing

Procedure:
1. Heat oil. Pan fry onion. Set aside.
2. On a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients. Mix very well until fully incorporated.
3. Form into oval patties, about 2 inches thick. Heat remaining cooking oil and sear patties on each side for about 2-3 minutes. Transfer on a baking dish and continue cooking inside a 350°pre-heated oven until cooked thoroughly. Top with fried onion rings before serving.

Pork is a source of B-vitamins thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin which are needed for the utilization of energy from the food we eat.

Good to Remember:
Variety means having different types of food to get the most nutrition. Serve this dish with green salad for variety.

Fun Shaped Tarts

Chewy and tasty tarts with a variety of filling combinations – 
cheese and bacon, cheese and tuna, cheese and vegetables

The sliced vegetables in the quiche add color to the snack. A colorful plate assures you of antioxidant protection of body cells.

Ingredients:
Pastry Shell:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
2 pcs egg, beaten

Filling:
1 cup fried bacon, chopped
1 cup canned tuna
½ cup each diced vegetables (carrots, green bell pepper, pimiento)
½ cup chopped spring onions
2 cups grated cheese
2 pcs eggs
3/4 cup NESTLE All Purpose Cream combined with
3/4 cup NESTLE Fresh Milk
1 ½ tbsp MAGGI Magic Sarap
white pepper

Procedure:
1. To make the pastry shells:
  • a. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • b. Mix the butter into the flour and crumble with the fingers until the mixture is like coarse crumbs.
  • c. Add egg and toss lightly until the dough holds together.
  • d. Wrap in plastic film and put in ref for at least 30 minutes.
  • e. Press prepared dough onto tart pans of various shapes and prick with a fork to keep from rising when baked.
2. Fill tarts with choice of filling combination. Distribute into the prepared crust and top with grated cheese.
3. Meanwhile, beat eggs, milk-cream, and MAGGI Magic Sarap together. Season with salt and pour over prepared tarts with various filling. Bake in a 350° oven for 20-25 minutes or until set. Serve warm.

Alaskan Temptation

Baked layers of fish, potatoes, and leeks
topped with cheese and NESTLÉ Sour Cream

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups canned salmon or tuna, drained
2 large potatoes, peeled sliced thinly
1 piece leek white part only, sliced thinly
salt and pepper
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 240 ml NESTLÉ Sour Cream
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Butter a shallow casserole dish.
3. Line with 1/3 of the potatoes, 1/2 of the flaked fish and 1/2 of the leeks.
4. Repeat layer and top with cheese.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Cover top with remaining potatoes.
7. In a bowl, mix oil with NESTLÉ Sour Cream.
8. Pour over potatoes then dot with butter.
9. Bake covered for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
10. Continue baking until top browns.

Fruit Mallow Fancy

A fruit salad variation made of pineapple, marshmallows, and kaong

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups pineapple tidbits drained reserving 1/4 cup syrup
125 g marshmallows, diced
1/4 cup well-drained green and red kaong
1 170g can NESTLÉ CREAM, chilled
chopped cashew nuts
shredded coconut
biscuit wafers

Procedure:
1. Combine pineapple, marshmallows and kaong in a bowl with 1/4 cup pineapple syrup. Let mixture stand for 1 hour. Fold in cream and chill.
2. Spoon sauce into dessert dishes; sprinkle with cashew nuts and coconut. Garnished with biscuit wafers.

Pangrilled sandwiches cooked French-style

Ingredients:
6 slices sweet ham
6 slices quickmelt cheese
12 slices white bread crusts trimmed
3 pcs eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup Nestle All Purpose Cream
1 1/2 tsp Maggi Magic Sarap
3 tbsp butter

Procedure:
1. Layer ham and cheese on six bread slices; top with bread.
2. Beat eggs, NESTLE All Purpose Cream, and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP together.
3. Slice sandwiches diagonally and dip both sides in egg mixture.
4. On a flat pan, melt butter over medium heat and grill sandwiches until brown and cheese almost melts.

Adobo Pate

A New Twist to an Old Favorite! 
A delicious spread garnished with olives, capers, or chopped vegetables. 
Great as gift and as entree to your Christmas celebrations

Ingredients:

THRICE-COOKED ADOBO
Ingredients:
½ kilo chicken, cut into pieces
½ kilo pork liempo, cut into pieces
¼ kilo chicken liver
¼ kilo pork liver, cut into pieces
¼ cup vinegar
¼ cup MAGGI Savor, Classic
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
¼ cup crushed garlic
½ cup oil

PATÉ
2 ½ cups pork, chicken, and liver adobo
1 8 oz cream cheese
1 250 ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
10 cloves roasted garlic with oil

Procedure:
For the Adobo:
1. In a pot, combine chicken, pork, liver, vinegar, MAGGI Savor Classic, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and garlic. Cook uncovered until boiling.
2. Lower the heat and simmer while covered until meats are tender. Strain sauce and set aside for use during frying.
3. In a large pan, heat the oil. Pan-fry the chicken, pork and liver until golden brown.
4. Pour in the sauce and simmer with the browned meats until sauce is almost dry.
5. Remove bones of chicken and pork. Set aside.

For the Pate:
Run the pork, chicken, and liver in a food processor until pureed. Add cream cheese, NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, and roasted garlic. When well blended, transfer into containers and chill.

Puto Balanghoy

Steamed cassava cake with coconut custard topping

Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pc. coconut grated
1 kilo cassava grated squeezed dry
1 cup water
1 301ml can CARNATION CONDENSADA
2/3 cup pinipig toasted combined with
1/3 cup desiccated coconut, toasted

Procedure:
1. Combine brown sugar and 1 cup of the grated coconut and cassava. Put approximately 3/4 cup of the cassava mixture in the coconut shell and cover with aluminum foil. Steam for 15 minutes until cooked. Unmold to a serving dish and cover with foil while making the rest of the puto.

2. For the topping: Add the water to the remaining grated coconut and extract the coconut milk. Combine CARNATION CONDENSADA and coconut milk in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Pour mixture on top of the puto. Sprinkle pinipig-coconut mixture on top. Serve warm.

Chocolate Rice Snack

Rice pudding flavored with MILO

This dish is made of rice, an excellent source of complex carbohydrates and the body’s best source of energy.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup MILO
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 cup uncooked rice

Procedure:
1. Combine 1/2 cup water, 1 cup MILO and condensed milk. Set aside.
2. Mix together the rest of the water and uncooked rice.
3. Bring to a boil in rice cooker then mix in MILO mixture, stirring often.
4. Leave in rice cooker until rice is cooked.
5. Let cool.
