Tapa sa Gata (Alang na Tapa)
Pan-fried beef slices stewed in coconut milk. For a leaner meat cut, use beef tenderloin. Lean cuts have less fat adn thus have less calories.

Ingredients:
½ kg beef sirloin, cut into slices
2 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1 tbsp garlic
¼ cup MAGGI Savor, Garlic
1 tbsp patis
¼ tsp pepper
cooking oil for frying
1 1/2 cups coconut milk
1 medium size onion, cubed

Procedure:
  1. Rub sirloin with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and garlic. Marinate in combined mixture of MAGGI Savor, patis and pepper for at least 30 minutes.
  2. Heat oil and pan-fry prepared beef tapa. Set aside. 3. In a separate pan, pour in coconut milk and bring to a boil. Add in tapa and onion. Cook for another 10 minutes or until tapa has been soaked in the sauce. Serve hot.

Thai Beef and Vegetables

Thai Beef and Vegetables
A main dish cooked in oyster sauce getting its Thai flavor from fresh basil and wansuy leaves. Plan meals with different vegetables; the variety ensures that you get all the types of nutrients from different sources.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup MAGGI Oyster Sauce
1/4 cup minced fresh basil
1 tbsp minced wansuy
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/2 cup water
1/2 kg sirloin steak, thinly sliced
1/2 cup sliced young corn
1 cup sitsaro
1/2 cup sliced carrots
1/2 cup sliced sayote

Procedure:
  1. In a medium sized pan combine oyster sauce, basil, wansuy, MAGIC SARAP, and water and let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  2. Add in sirloin beef and cook for another 5 minutes or until beef changes color.
  3. Put in rest of the ingredients. Cook until vegetables are crisp tender.

Manok At Trepang

Manok At Trepang
Sea Cucumber or Trepang is very popular in Palawan, the place of origin of this dish.

Ingredients:

1/2 kg. chicken cut into serving pieces
1 tbsp. soysauce
oil for frying
1 tbsp. crushed garlic
1/3 cup chopped onion
100 g. sea cucumber boiled at least 30 minutes and sliced
4 11g. MAGGI Tinola Cube dissolved in
8 cups water
1/4 cup chopped kinchay

Procedure:
  1. Marinate chicken in soy sauce for 1 hour. Drain and fry until brown on all sides.
  2. Pour off excess oil, retaining about 3 tbsp.; sauté garlic and onion.
  3. Add chicken and sea cucumber, simmer until sea cucumber is fully cooked, about 10 minutes.
  4. Pour in broth into the mixture, simmer for another 5 minutes then add kinchay.
  5. Serve hot.

Kiddie Beef Rolls

Kiddie Beef Rolls
Smaller version of morcon filled with kids favorite hotdog

Ingredients:

1/2 kg. beef round sliced thinly and cut into 2" x 2"
Marinade:
2 tbsp MAGGI Savor, Classic
2 tbsp calamansi juice
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 tsp pepper

2 pieces hotdog sliced into 2" strips
1/4 cup oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1/4 cup chopped onions
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 cups water
1/2 cup diced potatoes
1/2 cup diced carrots

Procedure:
  1. Marinate beef in the marinade ingredients for at least 15 minutes.
  2. Put slices of hotdog and pepper on each beef slice, roll and secure with a toothpick or kitchen string. Set aside.
  3. Heat oil and pan fry beef rolls until slightly brown.Push aside fried beef rolls and in the remaining oil saute garlic and onions until limp. Pour broth over beef and simmer for at least 30 minutes or until meat is tender, adding more water if necessary.
  4. Add the rest of the vegetables and cook for another 5 minutes or until vegetables are done.
  5. Remove string or toothpick from meat and slice into 1/2" thick before returning to the sauce.

Indonesian Beef Stew

Indonesian Beef Stew

A very popular sour, spicy and creamy beef dish, Indonesia's version of our caldereta. Using herbs and spices improves the flavor of the dish without increasing the amount of sodium.

Ingredients:
Marinade:
1 cup sliced onions
1 tbsp crushed garlic
2 tbsp sliced fresh ginger
1/2 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce
2 tbsp MAGGI Savor Classic
1/4 cup sliced lemon grass, white part only
1 tsp ground turmeric
2 tbsp lime juice

1 k beef kenchi, cubed

4 cups coconut milk
2 tsp ground coriander seeds
2 tsp ground cumin seeds
1 25g sachet MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok
1/4 cup water
2 cups cubed potatoes, fried
1 cup sliced onion, fried

Procedure:
  1. Combine onions, garlic, ginger, Chili Sauce, Savor, lemon grass, turmeric, and lime juice in a bowl. Use mixture to marinate beef. Set aside to marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. In a large pot, bring to boil coconut milk, coriander seeds, ground cumin seeds and MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok. When boiling, stir in marinated meat and simmer over low heat for 1 to 1 1/2 hours or until meat is tender.
  3. Add fried potatoes and simmer for another 5 minutes, top with fried onions before serving.

Ground Beef and Potatoes Casserole
Baked potatoes and ground beef in a tasty cream sauce.

Ingredients:
1/2 cup potatoes thinly sliced
1/2 cup sweet potatoes thinly sliced
2 7 g. sachet MAGGI Flavor It Beef
1/4 tsp. fresh rosemary minced
1/4 kg. ground beef
2 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 cup flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/4 tsp. ground pepper
1/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
1 370 ml can NESTLE Cream

Procedure:
  1. Arrange sliced potatoes and sweet potatoes in an 8'' square baking dish.
  2. Bake for 10 minutes and set aside.
  3. Combine Maggi Flavor-It, rosemary and ground beef. Saute in olive oil until cooked.
  4. Drain oil and arrange ground beef on top of baked potatoes.
  5. In the remaining oil in the skillet, whisk in flour with the remaining ingredients. simmer over low fire, while stirring until thick, about 3 minutes.
  6. Pour over potatoes and beef to cover. Bake about 20 minutes at 250 degrees C.

Burgers with Mango Salsa

Burgers with Mango Salsa
Grilled beef burgers complemented with a tangy tropical salsa

Yellow fruits like mango contain vitamins C and A, as well as antioxidant carotenoids. These help maintain healthy vision and immune system, and may decrease risk of certain cancer.

Ingredients:
Salsa:
2 tbsp vinegar
2 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 tbsp onion, minced
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp calamansi juice
1 tsp cornstarch dissolved in
1/4 cup water
1 tbsp MAGGI Savor, Classic
2 pcs semi-ripe mangoes, diced
1 tbsp parsley, chopped
Burger:
1/2 k ground beef
1 small onion, minced
salt and pepper to taste
3 slices bread, shredded
1 piece egg
1/4 cup NESTLE All Purpose Cream
2 tbsp fresh basil, chopped
vegetable oil

Procedure:
  1. To prepare salsa: Combine vinegar, MAGGI Chili Sauce, garlic, onion, brown sugar, and calamansi juice in a small saucepan. Add cornstarch dispersed in 1/4 cup water. Cook, stirring continuously over low fire just until thickened. Stir in MAGGI Savor. Add mangoes; cook for 1 min. Remove from fire and stir in parsley. Set aside.
  2. For the burger: Combine the beef and onion in one bowl; Season with salt and pepper. Meanwhile, in another bowl, combine bread, egg, NESTLE All Purpose Cream, and basil in another, beating until bread is soaked. Blend beef and bread mixture together; form into 6-8 patties.
  3. Grill patties over charcoal for 20 min. turning once, brushing with oil as it cooks.
  4. Transfer onto plates and spoon a generous amount of mango salsa on top. Serve with boiled corn on the cob.

Steak Salad

A refreshing salad with strips of grilled steak and vegetables

Ingredients:
1/4 kg sirloin steak

Marinade:
1/4 cup lemon juice
1 tsp grated ginger
1 tsp chopped garlic
2 tbsp MAGGI Savor Classic
2 tbsp sesame oil
1/2 tsp salt

Salad:
1 cup red bell pepper
1 cup carrots
1 cup papaya (manibalang)
1 cup bean sprouts
1 tsp mint leaves
Spicy Vinaigrette: Combine -
1/2 cup lemon juice
1 tsp grated lemon rind
2 tbsp sesame oil
2 tbsp rice wine
1 tsp grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce
1/4 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar

Procedure:
1. Marinate beef in lemon juice, ginger, garlic, Savor, sesame oil, and salt for 15 minutes. Grill or panfry until well done and cut into thin strips.
2. In a bowl toss beef with the rest of the salad ingredients.Chill.
3. Toss with spicy vinaigrette dressing just before serving.

Bulalo Steak

Bulalo Steak
A different yet interesting way of preparing 
and serving beef shanks--slowly tenderized, 
marinated and seared then served sizzling on a hot plate

Ingredients:

1 kg bulalo (beef shank, bone in)
2 liters water
1 tbsp Maggi Savor, Calamansi
¼ cup MAGGI Oyster Sauce
¼ cup cooking oil for browning

Gravy:
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp all purpose flour
¼ cup drippings from the fried bulalo
¼ cup NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream

Procedure:
  1. In a pressure cooker, tenderize bulalo in 2 liters of water for 30 minutes. Start timing when the water in the steamer starts to boil.
  2. Remove tenderized “bulalo” from the broth and marinate with MAGGI Savor, Calamansi for at least 15 minutes. When ready to pan-fry, rub marinated meat with MAGGI Oyster Sauce on all sides.
  3. Heat cooking oil and pan-fry prepared “bulalo” until brown on all sides. Transfer on a hot plate and serve with prepared gravy on top or on the side. Serve immediately.
  4. To prepare Gravy: Melt butter and add flour to make a roux. Slowly pour in the drippings while whisking mixture vigorously. Cook until thick. Add NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream to achive desire gravy consistency.

Beef Tapa and Asparagus Pasta

Asparagus is low in calories, contains no cholesterol, and is very low in sodium. It is a good source of folic acid, potassium, dietary fiber. Only the young shoots of asparagus are eaten. The bottom portion of asparagus often contains sand and dirt and as such thorough cleaning is generally advised in cooking asparagus.

Ingredients:

¼ kg beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
2 tsp MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
Salt and pepper to taste
¼ cup butter
¼ cup olive oil
1 big red bell pepper, roasted, peeled and chopped
1 cup asparagus spears
1 cup tomato sauce
½ cup NESTLÉ All-Purpose Cream
300g penne pasta, cooked al dente

Procedure:
  1. Sprinkle sirloin with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, salt and pepper. Heat butter and pan-fry sirloin for 3 minutes or until tender and light brown in color.
  2. Set aside beef on one side of the pan then add olive oil.
  3. Sauté bell pepper and asparagus. Pour in tomato sauce and NESTLÉ All-Purpose Cream. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Toss in pasta and mix very well to fully coat pasta with the sauce.
  5. Serve with sliced toast or baguette on the side

Beef Steak Ala Crema
Traditional Bistek Tagalog made more special with NESTLE All Purpose Cream

Ingredients:

½ kg thinly sliced beef sirloin
1 8g MAGGI Magic Sarap
2 tbsp MAGGI Savor, Calamansi
¼ cup cooking oil
1 medium onion, sliced into rings
1 250ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream

Procedure:
  1. Rub the beef with MAGGI Magic Sarap and MAGGI Savor. Marinate for at least 20 minutes.
  2. Heat oil and sauté onions for 2 minutes or until crisp tender. Remove from oil then set aside. Remove In the same oil, pan-fry marinated beef until brown in color.
  3. Add fried onions. Pour in NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Serve immediately.

Traditional kare-kare ingredients in sinigang.

Ingredients:

1 kilo beef knuckles cut into serving pieces
16 cups water
1/2 cup tomato quartered
1/2 cup onions quartered
2 cups puso ng saging sliced (250 g.)
2 cups pechay tagalog cut up (100 g.)
3 pieces long green chili
2 25 g. sachets MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok with Gabi

Procedure:
  1. Combine first 4 ingredients in a pot and boil over low flame until meat is tender, adding more water if necessary.
  2. Add in rest of the ingredients, cooking 2 minutes between each addition.
  3. Stir in MAGGI Sinigang sa Sampalok with Gabi.

Beef Caldereta
Rich tomato-based stew traditionally cooked with goat meat

Ingredients:

1 kg. beef ribs
2 cups and 2 tbsp unsweetened pineapple juice
2 pieces small onions, sliced
2 8g. MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
2 tbsp. cooking oil
2 tbsp. minced garlic
¼ cup chopped onions
1 tbsp. pickle relish
1 250ml. tomato sauce
1 85g. can liver spread
¼ cup grated cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
2 pieces medium potatoes, cubed and fried
1 piece medium carrots, cubed and fried

Procedure:

  1. Combine beef, pineapple juice, onions and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP in a pan. Boil briskly then lower heat. Continue simmering until beef is tender or about 2 hours. Set aside.
  2. Using a different pan, heat oil then sauté garlic and onions until limp. Add back tenderized beef and broth, bring to a boil.
  3. Add pickle relish, tomato sauce, liver spread and cheese. Continue simmering until sauce slightly thickens. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Add fried potatoes and carrots and cook for another 5 minutes.

Ingredients:

Marinade:
3 tbsp MAGGI Savor Classic
2 tbsp dry sherry
3/4 tsp ground ginger
1 tsp cornstarch
2 tsp white vinegar
3/4 tsp sugar
1 clove garlic, minced

1/2 kg minute steak, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil
4 cups fresh asparagus spears, 2 inches long
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
salt to taste
100 g angel hair pasta, cooked
1 medium tomato, seeded and diced

Procedure:

1. Prepare beef marinade by combining MAGGI Savor, sherry, ginger, cornstarch, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and 1/4 cup water in a bowl. Add beef, tossing to coat well.
2. In a skillet, heat oil, stir-fry asparagus until crisp-tender. Add marinated beef and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP; cook over high meat. Cook until beef loses its pink color and sauce boils and thickens slightly. Season to taste.
3. Arrange beef mixture and pasta on dinner plates. Sprinkle with diced tomatoes.

Grilled Seafood and Chicken in Yogurt-Lemongrass Sauce
Skewers of tasty and succulent seafood and chicken with a refreshing sauce — unbelievably healthful for something as irresistible! A light yet filling sub to your meat barbecues!

Ingredients:
300 g. tuna fish fillet, cubed
¼ kg. prawns, shelled and deveined
¼ kg. chicken breast fillet, cubed
¼ cup minced garlic
2 tbsp minced ginger
½ cup chopped lemon grass
2 tbsp lime juice
¼ cup olive oil
1 125g. NESTLÉ Creamy Yogurt, Natural
1 8g. MAGGI Magic Sarap
1 tsp salt
Yogurt Sauce: Combine -
1 125g. NESTLÉ Creamy Yogurt, Natural
½ cup thinly sliced cucumber
2 tbsp chopped wansuy
1 8g MAGGI Magic Sarap

Procedure:
1. Marinate seafood and chicken in the remaining ingredients for at least 30 minutes. Arrange alternately in skewers. Grill while basting with olive oil for about 5 minutes on each side. 2. Arrange on a platter and serve with yogurt sauce on the side.

Garden Pickles

Garden Pickles
A twist of the usual achara, perfect with barbecue or fried fish.

Ingredients:
4 1/2 cups sliced carrots
2 cups sliced radish
10 gherkins (small cucumbers)
2 tsps. salt
1 small jalapeño chili sliced into rings
6 thinly sliced ginger 1 1/2 inches long
6 tbsp. sugar
3 tbsp. MAGGI Savor
1/3 cup vinegar

Procedure:
1. Toss vegetables with salt; let stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour, stirring occasionally. Drain and squeeze out excess liquid.
2. Arrange vegetables nicely in jars and set aside.
3. Combine all ingredients for pickling and pour into arranged vegetables in jars. Keep chilled for at least 6 hours or overnight.

Ingredients:
400 g shrimps, peeled and deveined
1 cup cubed singkamas
1/2 cup cubed red bell pepper
1 cup pineapple chunks
1/4 cup chopped chives
2/3 cup mayonnaise
3 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce or to taste
2 tbsp prepared mustard
1/8 tsp chili powder
1 160g can NESTLE Cream

Procedure:
1. Cook shrimps in salted water for about 7-10 minutes or until it changes in color. Drain and Cool.
2. Toss in rest of the ingredients and set aside to prepare dressing.
3. Combine all ingredients for dressing and toss in with salad. Chill for about 2 hours and serve in a pineapple boat.

Creamy Liver Dip

Creamy Liver Dip
An appetizing and nutritious hors d'oeuvre 
to serve as snack or during cocktails

Ingredients:
1/2 bar cream cheese
1 can 383g NESTLE Cream
1 cup liver spread
1 tsp MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 tsp coarsely ground black pepper

Procedure:
1. Beat cream cheese with a blender for 1 minute then add the liver.
2. Stir in the cream, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, and black pepper. Blend ingredients until mixture is well combined.
3. Pass through a sieve to remove lumps. Refrigerate.
4. Serve with toasted baguette slices and chilled vegetables, i.e., carrots, celery, turnips, cucumber etc.

Creamy Chicken Lumpia
Crisp spring rolls filled with curried minced chicken 
and melted cheese served with salsa

Ingredients:
2 tbsp cooking oil
1/3 cup minced onions
250g chicken breast, minced
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1 tsp curry powder
1 tbsp brown sugar
1 cup grated quick-melting cheese
¼ cup NESTLÉ ALL Purpose Cream
10 pcs lumpia wrapper, cut in half
cooking oil for deep frying

For salsa, combine all ingredients and mix well:
1 cup minced tomatoes
½ cup minced onions
1 tbsp minced kinchay
1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp sugar

Procedure:
1. Heat oil and sauté onions until limp.
2. Add chicken and cook until it changes color (about 8 mins).
3. Season with MAGGI Magic Sarap, curry powder and brown sugar. Add cheese and NESTLE All Purpose Cream. Remove from heat and let cool.
4. Place about 1 tsp of chicken mixture on a lumpia wapper. Roll and seal edges well.
5. Deep fry and drain well using paper towels. Serve with salsa on the side.

Boursin Dip
French-style cream cheese with the intense 
and aromatic flavor of roasted garlic and herbs

Ingredients:
1 225 g. pack cream cheese softened
1/2 cup NESTLE All Purpose Cream
1 bulb roasted garlic, mashed
1/4 cup chopped spring onion
2 tsp MAGGI Magic Sarap
pinch of salt and white pepper

Procedure:
1. Beat cream cheese until soft and fluffy.
2. Stir in the rest of the ingredients. Blend thoroughly.
3. Serve with toasted bread slices, vegetable sticks, and crackers.

Buffalo Chicken
Spicy and piquant chicken wings served with sour cream

Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken wings, tips removed
Marinade: Combine -
1/4 cup MAGGI Savor
1/3 cup MAGGI Chili Sauce
1/2 tsp paprika
6 tbsp maple syrup
salt and pepper

Cooking oil, as needed

1 tub 240g NESTLE Sour Cream

Procedure:
1. Marinate chicken wings in prepared marinade for at least 6 hours.
2. Heat oil and pan-fry chicken until browned and crisp.
3. Serve with hot sauce or NESTLE Sour Cream.

6 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp onion powder
2 tbsp anchovies, mashed
1 can 160g NESTLÉ Cream
1 tsp MAGGI Savor

Procedure:
1. Melt butter and saute garlic until brown. Set aside.
2. Combine the rest of the ingredients in a bowl then add in browned garlic.
3. Chill then serve with vegetable sticks.

Avocado Crab Ensemble
Salad greens with fresh avocado slices 
and shredded crabstick in a creamy and tangy dressing

Ingredients:
100g Romaine lettuce, shredded
2 tbsp chopped wansoy (or coriander leaves)
1 large avocado, peeled and sliced thinly
4 pcs crab sticks, shredded
1/2 cup chopped almonds, toasted

Dressing:
1 160g can NESTLÉ Cream
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 tbsp chopped onions
1/4 cup NESTLE Fresh Milk
1/2 tsp sesame oil

Procedure:
1. Toss Romaine lettuce with chopped wansoy in a salad bowl until very well-blended. Arrange on a platter.
2. Arrange avocado slices and shredded crab stick on top of lettuce and sprinkle with almonds. Set aside.
3. For the dressing, combine cream, Magic Sarap, lemon juice, onions, milk, and sesame oil in a bowl. Serve with prepared salad.

Ingredients:
1/2 k mussels, steamed just to open shell
1/4 cup MAGGI Savor Hot Chili
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup cheese, grated
5 cloves garlic, minced

Procedure:
1. Prepare mussels by removing half of the shell and cut off beard. Marinate prepared mussels in MAGGI Savor Chili for at least 15 minutes. Set aside.
2. Mix butter, cheese, and garlic together and beat until creamy. Spread a teaspoon each of the mixture onto each mussel.
3. Bake mussels in a preheated 350 degree oven for 5 minutes.

Special Sausage Steak
Ingredients:
6 pieces assorted Swiss Sausages (Hungarian, bratwurst, frankfurter etc), sliced
2 pieces onion, sliced into rounds
¼ cup MAGGI Savor Classic
¼ cup calamansi juice
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
4 tbsp cooking oil

Procedure:
1. Marinate sliced sausages and onion with MAGGI Savor and calamansi juice
for at least 15 minutes.
2. Heat cooking oil and stir fry onion first for 30 seconds. Add sausages
including marinade Season with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Cook for another 15
minutes or until the sauce is reduced.
3. Serve with steamed rice or your favorite bread and beverage.

Coco Cream Corn Ensemble

Coco Cream Corn Ensemble
Ingredients:
1 cup sugar
1 liter water
2 pandan leaves, tied into a knot
2 cups buko strips
1 cup whole corn kernel
Crushed ice
1 250ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream

Procedure:
1. Make pandan syrup by boiling sugar in water with pandan leaves. Continue boiling until sugar is dissolved. Discard pandan leaves and cool mixture in the refrigerator until ready to use.
2. Put buko and corn in glasses. Top with crushed ice. Drizzle with pandan syrup to sweeten.
3. Top with a dollop of NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream before serving.

Good to Know: A cup of corn contains about 5 grams of fiber. Fiber has been shown to maintain digestive health by promoting regular bowel movement.

Refreshing Cornflakes Taco Salad

Kids' favorite tacos made into a colorful, delicious, and healthful salad

Ingredients:
For the salad:
3 pieces tomatoes, seeded and diced
1 medium onion, diced
1 small head lettuce, shredded
1 small can pork and beans, drained, liquid reserved
1 cup NESTLÉ Cornflakes

For the meat sauce:
2 tbsp cooking oil
1 tbsp chopped garlic
1 small onion chopped
¼ kg ground beef
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
½ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup banana catsup
pork and beans reserved liquid
salt, sugar and pepper to taste

Procedure:
1. Assemble the salad ingredients on a salad bowl. Top with generous amount of cornflakes. Set aside.
2. To prepare the meat sauce: Heat oil. Sauté garlic and onion until limp. Stir in ground beef and cook until meat changes in color.
3. Season with MAGGI Magic Sarap. Pour in tomato sauce, banana catsup, and the reserved liquid from the pork and beans. Season with sugar and salt. Cook for another 10 minutes or until slightly thicken.
4. Drizzle prepared salad with the meat sauce and serve immediately.

Mexican Wedgies

Stuffed flour tortillas oozing with meat and cheese.

Ingredients:
1 tbsp cooking oil
½ kilo ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
1 8g MAGGI Magic Sarap
1 tsp salt
1 tbsp MAGGI Chili Sauce
2 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 cup diced tomatoes
4 large flour tortilla
oil for frying
1 240g NESTLÉ Sour Cream

Procedure:
1. In a pan with very little oil, brown together ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until meat changes in color.
2. eason with MAGGI Magic Sarap, salt, and MAGGI Chilli Sauce. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.
3. Put ½ cup of the ground beef filling, cheese, and tomatoes onto the half side of each tortilla. Fold the other half of tortilla over and press to remove any air pockets.
4. Heat 2 tbsp of oil in pan to medium high, and when hot, place filled tortillas into the pan 1 or 2 at a time.
5. Fry until golden brown. Remove and place on paper towels to remove excess oil. Cut into wedges and serve with NESTLÉ Sour Cream on the side.

A snack that could be artistically made by kids

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups flour
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup butter softened
3/4 cup sugar
1 egg
1/2 cup hazelnut spread*
1/3 cup NESTLE Cornflakes
1/3 cup NESTLE Smarties
1/4 cup candy sprinkles
1/3 cup NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream

Procedure:
1. Combine flour and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
2. Beat softened butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.
3. Add in egg and stir to combine.
4. Add flour mixture gradually.
5. Using a 12-inches round pizza pan, bake dough for 20 minutes at 250 degrees C for about 8-10 minutes.
6. Cool cookie thoroughly then spread hazelnut on top.
7. Sprinkle next 3 ingredients decoratively on top.
8. Drizzle NESTLE All Purpose Cream on top before cutting into wedges.

1/4 cup plus 2 tbsps. muscovado sugar
1/2 cup butter softened
2 pieces eggs
1 cup chopped NESTLE Dark Chocolate

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. Combine flour, cocoa, soda and salt. Mix well and set aside.
3. Dissolve coffee in coffee liqueur and set aside.
4. Blend sugars with electric mixer. Add butter and mix to form grainy paste.
5. Add eggs and dissolved coffee and beat.
6. Add flour mixture and chopped chocolate and beat at low speed. Do not overmix.
7. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheet, 2 inches apart.

Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Chewy cookies with oh so chocolaty morsels – a delight in every bite

Ingredients:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup NUTREN Optimum
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ cup granulated sugar
1 cup (packed) brown sugar
2 sticks (1 cup) salted butter, softened
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 tbsp condensed milk
2 cups chopped NESTLÉ Dark Chocolate

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
2. In a bowl, combine flour, NUTREN, baking soda, and salt. Mix well with a wire whisk. Set aside.
3. Blend sugars using an electric mixer set at medium speed. Add butter and mix, occasionally scraping down the sides of the bowl. Add the eggs, vanilla, and condensed milk. Beat at medium speed until light and fluffy.
4. Add the flour mixture and chocolate and blend at low speed until just combined. Do not overmix.
5. Drop by rounded tablespoons onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart. Bake 22 to 25 minutes until cookies are slightly brown along edges. Transfer cookies immediately to cool surface with a spatula.

Fried spring rolls filled with tofu, potatoes, carrots and sweet potatoes

Ingredients:
2 tbsp. cooking oil
1 cup tokwa mashed
2 cups julienned potatoes
2 cups julienned sweet potatoes (camote)
1 cup julienned carrots
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/4 cup chopped kinchay
10 pieces lumpia wrapper cut into two

Procedure:
1. Heat oil, stir-fry tokwa for 2 minutes, add potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots, cook for 5 minutes more or until vegetables are crisp tender.
2. Stir-in MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and kinchay, remove from heat.
3. Drain and cool in a colander. Wrap about 3 tablespoons vegetables in lumpia wrapper. Seal well then deep fry until golden brown.

4 cups grated kamote (sweet potato)

1 1/4 cups grated cheddar cheese
1 250ml brick NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
1/2 cup fried minced bacon
2 pieces eggs, beaten
2 cups Japanese bread crumbs
cooking oil for deep frying

Procedure:
1. Combine kamote, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, cheese, all purpose cream, bacon, and eggs in a bowl.
2. Using the palm of your hand shape about 1/3 cup of kamote mixture into a rectangle about 3-4 inches long and 1/2 inch thick.
3. Dredge in bread crumbs.
4. Deep fry in hot oil until brown. Drain and serve.

4 tbsp cooking oil
1/4 kg ground beef
2 squares tokwa, diced
1 cup grated carrots
1 cup grated Baguio beans

4 tbsp hoisin sauce combined with
2 tbsp water
200 g lettuce leaves
1/2 cup NESTLÉ Cottage Cheese, drained

Procedure:
1. Heat 2 tbsp oil and sauté beef with half of the MAGGI MAGIC SARAP. Set aside.
2. In the same pan, heat remaining oil and sauté tokwa and veggies until veggies are crisp-tender.
3. Stir in remaining MAGGI MAGIC SARAP.
4. Put in about 1/4 cup veggie mixture, 2 tbsp of sauteéd meat and a teaspoon of NESTLÉ Cottage Cheese onto a lettuce leaf. Top with hoisin sauce and serve.

Golden Maja Kalabasa

An easy and nutritious snack enriched with squash

Ingredients:
2/3 cup squash (kalabasa) boiled and mashed
1 1/2 cups NESTLE All Purpose Cream
2/3 cup water
3/4 cup condensed milk
2 tsp calamansi juice
1/2 cup cornstarch
1 tbsp butter or margarine

Procedure:
1. Combine all ingredients except butter or margarine. Mix well and bring to a boil while stirring until thickens.
2. Add butter or margarine. Pour into a mold and allow to set. Cut and serve.

Hearty Meatloaf


Ingredients:
1 tbsp cooking oil
2 large onion, sliced into rings
2 35g. NESVITA Oatmeal Original
1 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
2 tbsp MAGGI Oyster Sauce
½ cup catsup
2 tbsp. bread crumbs
½ kg. ground pork
Salt and pepper to taste
Cooking oil for pan searing

Procedure:
1. Heat oil. Pan fry onion. Set aside.
2. On a separate bowl combine remaining ingredients. Mix very well until fully incorporated.
3. Form into oval patties, about 2 inches thick. Heat remaining cooking oil and sear patties on each side for about 2-3 minutes. Transfer on a baking dish and continue cooking inside a 350°pre-heated oven until cooked thoroughly. Top with fried onion rings before serving.

Pork is a source of B-vitamins thiamin, riboflavin, and niacin which are needed for the utilization of energy from the food we eat.

Ingredients:
Pastry Shell:
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
pinch of salt
1 cup cold butter, cut into cubes
2 pcs egg, beaten

Filling:
1 cup fried bacon, chopped
1 cup canned tuna
½ cup each diced vegetables (carrots, green bell pepper, pimiento)
½ cup chopped spring onions
2 cups grated cheese
2 pcs eggs
3/4 cup NESTLE All Purpose Cream combined with
3/4 cup NESTLE Fresh Milk
1 ½ tbsp MAGGI Magic Sarap
white pepper

Procedure:
1. To make the pastry shells:
  • a. Combine flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
  • b. Mix the butter into the flour and crumble with the fingers until the mixture is like coarse crumbs.
  • c. Add egg and toss lightly until the dough holds together.
  • d. Wrap in plastic film and put in ref for at least 30 minutes.
  • e. Press prepared dough onto tart pans of various shapes and prick with a fork to keep from rising when baked.
2. Fill tarts with choice of filling combination. Distribute into the prepared crust and top with grated cheese.
3. Meanwhile, beat eggs, milk-cream, and MAGGI Magic Sarap together. Season with salt and pour over prepared tarts with various filling. Bake in a 350° oven for 20-25 minutes or until set. Serve warm.

Baked layers of fish, potatoes, and leeks

Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups canned salmon or tuna, drained
2 large potatoes, peeled sliced thinly
1 piece leek white part only, sliced thinly
salt and pepper
1/4 cup grated cheddar cheese
1 240 ml NESTLÉ Sour Cream
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp butter

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Butter a shallow casserole dish.
3. Line with 1/3 of the potatoes, 1/2 of the flaked fish and 1/2 of the leeks.
4. Repeat layer and top with cheese.
5. Season with salt and pepper.
6. Cover top with remaining potatoes.
7. In a bowl, mix oil with NESTLÉ Sour Cream.
8. Pour over potatoes then dot with butter.
9. Bake covered for 45 minutes to 1 hour.
10. Continue baking until top browns.

2 1/2 cups pineapple tidbits drained reserving 1/4 cup syrup
125 g marshmallows, diced
1/4 cup well-drained green and red kaong
1 170g can NESTLÉ CREAM, chilled
chopped cashew nuts
shredded coconut
biscuit wafers

Procedure:
1. Combine pineapple, marshmallows and kaong in a bowl with 1/4 cup pineapple syrup. Let mixture stand for 1 hour. Fold in cream and chill.
2. Spoon sauce into dessert dishes; sprinkle with cashew nuts and coconut. Garnished with biscuit wafers.

3 tbsp butter

Procedure:
1. Layer ham and cheese on six bread slices; top with bread.
2. Beat eggs, NESTLE All Purpose Cream, and MAGGI MAGIC SARAP together.
3. Slice sandwiches diagonally and dip both sides in egg mixture.
4. On a flat pan, melt butter over medium heat and grill sandwiches until brown and cheese almost melts.

Adobo Pate

A New Twist to an Old Favorite! 
A delicious spread garnished with olives, capers, or chopped vegetables. 
Great as gift and as entree to your Christmas celebrations

Ingredients:

THRICE-COOKED ADOBO
Ingredients:
½ kilo chicken, cut into pieces
½ kilo pork liempo, cut into pieces
¼ kilo chicken liver
¼ kilo pork liver, cut into pieces
¼ cup vinegar
¼ cup MAGGI Savor, Classic
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
¼ cup crushed garlic
½ cup oil

PATÉ
2 ½ cups pork, chicken, and liver adobo
1 8 oz cream cheese
1 250 ml NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream
10 cloves roasted garlic with oil

Procedure:
For the Adobo:
1. In a pot, combine chicken, pork, liver, vinegar, MAGGI Savor Classic, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP and garlic. Cook uncovered until boiling.
2. Lower the heat and simmer while covered until meats are tender. Strain sauce and set aside for use during frying.
3. In a large pan, heat the oil. Pan-fry the chicken, pork and liver until golden brown.
4. Pour in the sauce and simmer with the browned meats until sauce is almost dry.
5. Remove bones of chicken and pork. Set aside.

For the Pate:
Run the pork, chicken, and liver in a food processor until pureed. Add cream cheese, NESTLÉ All Purpose Cream, and roasted garlic. When well blended, transfer into containers and chill.

Puto Balanghoy

Steamed cassava cake with coconut custard topping

Ingredients:
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 pc. coconut grated
1 kilo cassava grated squeezed dry
1 cup water
1 301ml can CARNATION CONDENSADA
2/3 cup pinipig toasted combined with
1/3 cup desiccated coconut, toasted

Procedure:
1. Combine brown sugar and 1 cup of the grated coconut and cassava. Put approximately 3/4 cup of the cassava mixture in the coconut shell and cover with aluminum foil. Steam for 15 minutes until cooked. Unmold to a serving dish and cover with foil while making the rest of the puto.

2. For the topping: Add the water to the remaining grated coconut and extract the coconut milk. Combine CARNATION CONDENSADA and coconut milk in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thick. Pour mixture on top of the puto. Sprinkle pinipig-coconut mixture on top. Serve warm.

Chocolate Rice Snack

Rice pudding flavored with MILO

This dish is made of rice, an excellent source of complex carbohydrates and the body’s best source of energy.

Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups water
1 cup MILO
1/2 cup condensed milk
1 cup uncooked rice

Procedure:
1. Combine 1/2 cup water, 1 cup MILO and condensed milk. Set aside.
2. Mix together the rest of the water and uncooked rice.
3. Bring to a boil in rice cooker then mix in MILO mixture, stirring often.
4. Leave in rice cooker until rice is cooked.
5. Let cool.

Sayote Salad with Pomelos and Prawns


Ingredients:
½ kg prawns, peeled and deveined
1 kg sayote, cut into strips then blanched
1 pc singkamas, cut into strips
1 pc carrot, cut into strips
1 pc red bell pepper, cut into julienne strips
1 pc green bell, cut into julienne strips
12 pcs pomelo segments, peeled and seeded
1 cup orange dressing
Honeyed Patis Dressing
½ cup NESTLÉ Premium Squeeze Orchard Orange
2 tbsp patis
2 tbsp lemon juice
1 sachet 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
1/3 cup honey
1 tbsp orange zest
pinch of black pepper
¼ cup olive oil

Procedure:
1. Cook prawns in boiling water until pink. Set aside.
2. Prepare Orange Dressing. Combine the NESTLÉ Premium Squeeze Orchard Orange, patis, lemon juice, MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, honey, orange zest, and black pepper. Whisk in olive oil gradually to incorporate well into the orange mixture. Set aside to chill.
3. Combine the vegetables, pomelo, and cooked prawns. Toss into the prepared dressing.
4. Serve chilled.

Good to Know:
As with other seafood, prawn is a source of iodine. Iodine is a mineral that is needed to promote proper metabolism among adults.

Good to Remember:
Deveiling prawn is simple. Just make a shallow incision along the back of the prawn and pull out the dark vein that runs throughout by rinsing under cold water.

Light Strawberry Yogurt Panna Cotta


Ingredients:
200 ml Nestle Low Fat Milk
1 tsp vanilla
2 large egg yolks
1 large egg white
2 tbsp caster sugar
1 tbsp powdered gelatin dissolved in
2 tbsp water
2 tubs 125g Nestle Fruit Selection Yogurt, Very Strawberry

Procedure:
1. Bring the milk and vanilla to a simmer and remove from heat.
2. Whisk the eggs and caster sugar together until mixture is light yellow in color.
3. Stir egg mixture into the hot milk and return to a low heat, stirring continuously, until the custard coats the back of the spoon.
4. Remove from heat, add the dissolved gelatin, stir until it dissolves and strain the custard into a bowl. Cool it over iced water until it has set.
5. Whisk in the Nestle Fruit Selection Yogurt. Pour mixture into ramekins until almost full and chill until completely set. Chill for 30 – 45 minutes.
6. If desired top with fresh strawberries or other fruits before serving.

Good to Know:
Food scientists have discovered that yogurt with live microorganisms increases the growth of good bacteria in the intestine. Good bacteria are observed to maintain digestive health, improve absorption of nutrients and promote better health.

Good to Remember:
Yogurt is a source of calcium. If you don’t drink much milk, just may enjoy yogurts instead. The amount of calcium found in milk is equivalent to about 2 cups of yogurt.

Roasted Vegetable Pasta


Ingredients:
6 pcs large tomatoes, halved
2 heads garlic, peeled
3 pcs red bell pepper, seeded and halved
3 pcs green bell pepper, seeded and halved
1 bunch celery, sliced into 3” lengths
4 pcs white onions, peeled and halved
1 pc zucchini, sliced into ½” thick
1 pc large carrot, sliced into ½” thick
Paprika
2 sachets 8g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP
Black pepper
Olive oil

1 pc 11g MAGGI MAGIC SARAP dissolved in
1 ½ cups water
Salt, to taste
1 tsp black pepper
2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp butter
150g ham or flaked chicken (optional)

1 pack 500g spaghetti noodles, cooked al dente
Grated Parmesan cheese

Procedure:
1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
2. Brush the baking sheets with olive oil. Arrange the vegetables on the greased baking sheets. Season the vegetables with MAGGI MAGIC SARAP, paprika, and black pepper. Drizzle with more olive oil
3. Place in the preheated oven to roast for 30 – 45 minutes or until the vegetables are light brown and fragrant.
4. Purée all the vegetables in a food processor. Place the purée’d vegetables in a sauce pan and combine with the chicken broth.
5. Simmer sauce for 15 minutes then add ham / chicken. Season with salt, black pepper, and sugar.
6. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in cold butter until melted.
7. Combine pasta with prepared sauce and top with grated Parmesan cheese.

Good to Know:
Tomato is also an excellent source of Vitamin C (one medium tomato provides 40% of the RDA) and a good source of Vitamin A (20% of the RDA).

Good to Remember:
Select tomatoes that are round, full and feel heavy for their size, with no bruises or blemishes. Store fresh ripe tomatoes in a cool, dark place, stem-side down, and use within a few days.

Apples and Walnuts

Baked apples smothered with vanilla cream sauce 
and topped with walnuts

Ingredients:
2 pcs medium-sized apples, cut into wedges
Vanilla Cream Sauce:
1 383g can NESTLÉ Cream
1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla
2 tbsp melted butter
1/4 cup chopped walnuts

Procedure:
  1. Arrange apple wedges in an 8x8x2 inch oven proof pan. Set aside.
  2. For the sauce, combine the cream, cream cheese, sugar, vanilla, and butter in a bowl. Mix well with electric mixer until smooth.
  3. Pour over arranged apple wedges and bake for 15 minutes or until set at 250C.

Good to Know:
Include nuts in your diet. They are good sources of protein, but have no cholesterol because they come from plants.
